THE BUGATTI TOURBILLON: AN AUTOMOTIVE ICON ‘POUR L’ÉTERNITÉ’
In 2004, the reborn Bugatti brand transformed the world of automotive performance and luxury with a 1,001 hp hyper sports car: the Veyron. The first road car with more than 1,000 hp was succeeded in 2016 by another engineering feat so ambitious it reset
all expectations of performance, the world’s first 1,500 hp car: the Chiron.

The ‘BUGATTI’
At the heart of these cars was the world’s most advanced automotive engine: an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16. Now, 20 years after Bugatti invented the hyper sports car, it redefines the concept completely with an entirely new powertrain and platform. This is the Bugatti Tourbillon.
The Bugatti Tourbillon is powered by an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine, developed with Cosworth, paired with three electric motors — producing a total of 1,800 hp. No turbos. Just raw mechanical force + electric innovation.
Despite having a massive hybrid system and battery pack, the Tourbillon weighs less than the Chiron, thanks to new T800 carbon composite construction and weight-saving innovations like 3D-printed suspension parts and structural batteries.

The Tourbillon features an instrument cluster crafted by Swiss watchmakers — built from over 600 parts including sapphire, ruby, and titanium, and mounted inside a fixed hub steering wheel so it stays still while the wheel turns around it.
Using a new aero setup, the rear wing remains hidden during top-speed runs. It’s only used at low speeds for extra downforce and as an airbrake during heavy braking — all thanks to a new diffuser-based balance system.
The Bugatti Tourbillon is not just a car — it’s a mechanical masterpiece built for eternity. From its all-new V16 heart to its timeless craftsmanship, it redefines what it means to be iconic. This isn’t evolution. It’s pure engineering art.
